Signal Mountain Campground occupies a prime location in Grand Teton National Park, perched on the southeast shore of Jackson Lake with sweeping views of Mount Moran and the Teton Range. The campground sits in a lodgepole pine forest on a glacial moraine that rises over 800 feet, offering both shaded sites and lake access. Two trails depart directly from the campground: a 3-mile lakeshore trail and a 6-mile Signal Mountain Summit loop. The 80 sites are spread across three loops. Loop 1 and 2 permit generators during daytime hours and include 25 sites with 30/50-amp electric hookups. Loop 3 (sites 65-86) is generator-free. All sites include a picnic table and fire ring with metal grate. Four comfort stations provide flush toilets and potable water. The adjacent Signal Mountain Lodge offers token-operated showers, laundry, a general store, gas station, restaurants, and marina with boat rentals. Jackson Lake spans 7 miles wide and 15 miles long, popular for fishing, kayaking, and swimming at the boat ramp areas. The campground's central location puts Jenny Lake, Cascade Canyon, String Lake, and other classic hikes within a 15-20 minute drive. Yellowstone's south entrance is 25 miles north; Jackson is 38 miles south.

Getting there

From Jackson, head north on US 26/89/191 and turn left (west) at Moose Junction. Travel north on Teton Park Road 17 miles to the Signal Mountain Lodge junction, turn left and follow signs. From Yellowstone's south entrance, take US 89/191/287 south, turn right (west) at Jackson Lake Junction, travel south on Teton Park Road 3 miles to the Signal Mountain Lodge junction, turn right and follow signs.
